Beauty oil has become quite an important skincare items now especially for mature skin (30 and above).  In contrast to what most people think, beauty oil does not clog pores.  I mean beauty oil that are specially made as skincare products.  Of course I don't mean those cooking oil because cooking oil and beauty oil are two totally different things.

I got two vials of the overnight elixer which I can say smell so nice, I keep sniffing the bottle since I like the smell of rosemary very much.  The oil has medium texture.  It is not watery nor too thick.  Once the oil absorb into the skin, I can really feel that my skin is much plump and well moisturised.  No greasy feeling left on the skin.  So, don't worry that one will wake up with oily face.  My skin texture is very much softer than without using the oil.  I think Overnight Elixer would work great for mature skin to reduce the fine lines and wrinkles =) .  If you are asking if it works to get rid of pimples or acne-I don't think it does but it will sure reduce the scars (not those holes)  and reduce redness.

MAKEUP: TUTORIAL FOR SIMPLE WATER GODDESS OR WATER NYMPH

I always wanted to try doing different kind of makeup for some costume party but obviously my skills is sure lacking.  I would tried to avoid makeup  as much as I do no matter how much I like to see it on others.

So, here I am trying a different kind of makeup today.  It is actually simple and easy to do it yourself at home.

1. Put up circle lens such as GEO ANA45 Color Nine Moon Gray.
2. Apply CC cream.  I like to use latex sponge since I am not good with hand application.
3. Apply eyeshadow and eyeliner. *sorry* I am obviously lacking in eyeshadow application.
4. Then apply some coral pink lipstick.
5. Add some hair accessories-mine is actually made from beads.
6. Lastly wear some white or bluish dress and you look is complete

It has the texture of essence which is runny and watery.  No sticky feeling afterwards. So, it is good for those who dislike oily feeling.  On the hair, it will make the hair soft and tame down all those hairs.  You could use it to protect the hair from hair dryer.

My lips is so dry that it is full with cracks and applying this help reduces the condition.

I tried it on my eyes area and it doesn't cause oil of anything of that sort.  Instead it help with the fine lines I have around my eyes.=) I like to use to the sunflower oil to moisturise my lips at night instead of petroleum jelly.  It works the same as petroleum jelly.  No greasy feeling or weird taste for sure.

You could use it as body oil since it is doesn't make your skin greasy.  Very good to moisturise the skin.  One bottle could last you very long and the price is sure affordable.  This Human Nature sunflower beauty oil is different from the cooking sunflower oil.

REVIEW ON CYBER COLOUR CKIN POWER WHITE CC CREAM SPF50

This is a CC cream that is really waterproof and even sweat-proof.  It wouldn't budge even a little once it is blended at all.  The coverage is really high as you can probably notice that the cut on my hand was fully covered and the results is really natural.

I would say I was shocked that my skin was so flawless that I was like "plastic Barbie Doll" after applying it.  The only problem is once have to use the makeup remover or oil type of cleanser to really remove it.  Cleaning it with just foam cleanser won't do anything.  Seriously, I think this is one really good CC cream if one plan to go to the beach for a swim and is very insecure of not wearing anything on the face.

SKINCARE TIPS: HOW TO USE TONER OR MIST (THE KOREAN/ASIAN WAY)

Hi everyone.  I hope you have a good day =0.  As for me, life is mixture of happiness and worries at the same time.  It is already 5 months since the last rain here in Malaysia.  It is having drought here.  Even the floor cracked and the green trees turned brown.  What a sad looking environment.  For those coming to Tioman Island, be prepared for the water problem.  There is water restriction and it is already 2months.  The restriction is not lifted yet.  Gosh, everyday I have to keep water for the next day.  Wash my clothes only when there is water supply and worry if my water supply is enough to last me till the day with water.

On other hand, I get some comments about liking my blog and of course this gets me to write more =) .  I am just a small unknown blogger but comments from readers make me feel that my blog is worth reading.  In fact, it made me feel like I am on the 'right track' =)  .

So, here I am today to just share about how to use toner or mist properly.  I wouldn't say correctly since the beauty world keep changing especially the method of using cosmetics products.  So, what I share here would just be the most current trend of using toner in appropriate way.  I am not a genius so I would also 'do trial and error' on different type of toners.  Forgive me or do share with me if there is any more current way of using toner or mist.

Using Toner

What I mean is the western toner-
just swipe at the T-zone and then the U-zone

Korean toner& Japanese toner-
Their toner are actually different from the western one and I am using the word 'toner' here to avoid confusion.  If you want to know the differences between western toner and Asian 'toner', check Here.
So, the usage for Asian toner (lotion) is generally different and for different purposes.  So, ways of using toner/lotion is also different if you want the best results.

1. Use a cotton pad and wet about 3cm of your cotton.  Don't make it too wet up to point of dripping.
2. Hold with the cotton pad wrapping your middle finger.
3.  Swipe your U-zone and then your T-zone.
4.  Turn the cotton pad around.  Use the other side of the cotton pad (not the one you used to swipe) to pat it on your face.  Pat about 3-5times on each area.

It is really fast if you are use to it.  One can see the differences in between 3-5 days with this method compare to just the swipe method.  Not meant to be use with western toner.


Mist Usage

Make sure the mist is about 1meter from your skin and don't spray directly on your skin as it will sure shock your skin and leave watermarks on your skin.  It will dry your skin too!  Please make sure that it is skincare mist as there are skincare Mist and makeup Mist especially for Korean skincare products.  Most Asian will use mist to cool down their face and when they feel dry especially in air-con room.

1. Spray from 1 meter distance (the length of your arms).
2.  Pat the mist on your face.
3. Follow up with other skincare products.

The food here had deteriorated in taste.  I wonder why.  The tosai telur came with a little of water as you can see from the plate.  I guess probably it is because now that they are too busy since there is  a lot of customer patronising this restaurant that the quality has drop.  If you are seated at the back of the restaurant, then you will get the view of the restaurant and it is nicer than sitting inside the restaurant.


Tioman is currently beautiful with very green water.  There are a lot of tourist visiting too now.  =)  Anyway, becareful with your belonging and things since it has become dangerous.

Sorry for the blur, I took it long ago before I bought a new camera.
I tried the Cacao ADE mask before and it smell amazing just like this one.  The fit is great and it does brighten up my dull skin.  I like this fit as the mask is stretchable and it is fit my small face.  Most mask are too big for my face. It is quite troublesome for me to cut those wet mask.  Again, it doesn't drip and I think one can see obvious effect within 2-3 usage compare with other type of mask.  Overall, I do like this mask more than others as it doesn't drip and it is really comfortable.

I am not sure about the brightening effect as I do not notice them.  So sorry for there is no photos.  It is moisturising and cooling on the weather like Malaysia.  Can't believe it is 40 degree here.

The Chicken feet noodles comes with the chicken feet.  There are two version of it but I wanted to try the one with chicken feet.  The chicken feet does taste good and it is soft and not hard at all.  The seller must have clean the chicken feet well as there weren’t any smell at ll.  The noodles on the other is just right and tasty.  I love the mushroom as it is soft and juicy indeed.  The portion is quite big and not small at all.  The stall only sell on Sunday after 6.30pm.  Weird?

FOOD REVIEW: SOUVENIR FROM TAIWAN

I don't get to travel a lot since but I am thankful whenever I get souvenir from others.  So, this is what people will usually buy when they came back from Taiwan.  This is the pineapple cake.

The packaging is not bad. There is actually a box but I have already tore it open and throw it away before realising what I did.  Ermm, the food monster in me XP. Told you before that I forget everything when I am hungry or if I see food right in front of me.  Do you know how much self control I need by just looking at food???

Overall, this is the famous souvenir from Taiwan and the taste is not bad.  It is similar to our Pineapple tart.  It is just in form of cake.  Is it very soft?  Not really hard or soft.  So, it is just medium.  I don't know about everyone raving about this but I think it is just okay.  Not too bad.


The Japanese banana cake?  That one taste horrible for goodness sake.  I don't even want to review it.

FOOD REVIEW ON AL-ARIP RESTAURANT

Anyone who comes to Tioman may pass by this restaurant if you are going to the Hotel Sri Malaysia or Giant.  Mersing town is pretty small.  I will write about it if I get enough 'push' to write about Mersing aka the place for tourist to disembark to go to Tioman Island if anyone request for it.  Many would envy me looking at the sea but currently this is the only place that is still with NO water.  I have to eat outside most of the time but let me save the ramble for another day.

 Most people would like to seat outside since it is less hot and there is a LCD TV outside. I prefer to seat inside actually since I dislike noise. Taking order was really fast but slow in sending my food. I wonder why did I need to repeat my order few times. This place is just opposite the Giant store which is quite convenient.  They have all sort of drink except liquor because it is a HALAL place.


The roti canai is crispy and not burn. I really like it plus the nice curry actually but again stingy. I have to ask for a refill for the dhal. Overall, not expensive since it is RM0.90 for one piece of roti canai but one is never enough for me.

Looking at their array of food which is very clean because it is totally covered up, I took a risk and took rice. The eggplants is really tasty-not too soft or hard. I like the level of the spiciness too and I think RM5 for eggplants, egg and also longbeans is really worth it. It is just that there is not much of rice. I wonder if it is because I look too thin to be able to eat a lot.


Overall, I think the food is great and yes I would come again.

1) Why do you need 24 hour no-shine fresh hydration?

I always have this weird problem. When I travels or go for trips, my skin will usually just turn dry to the point of peeling. When it is dry, then all sort of problem will appears. Not only my skin will turn super oily, pimples will start to pop up one by one. Who likes it when their skin just go crazy without warning. SKINCARE TIPS: HOW TO CHOOSE SKINCARE PRODUCTS FOR ACNE PRONE SKIN

It has been sometimes since I write about skincare tips and here I am back with another post on how to choose product for acne prone skin.

I am a skincare junkie and yes I love skincare products more than makeup =). I am not good in makeup, lazy and I think having a good skin is better than having the best concealer in the world.

Whenever I am in Kuala Lumpur, I would sure visit Sephora but now we can also order the products online through Zalora website . \ ^ v ^ /  How amazing is that???  My friends love Sephora eyeliner because they are cheap and it is really nice considering the price.  Oh, let go back to the skincare tips =)  .

1. First of all, know your skin type. It might be dry with acne , oily with acne or combination with acne. Do not assume that everyone has the same skin type.

2. Check your age. Acne products that works for adult is not the same as the acne products for teenagers as the skin built is not the same. Look for brands that cater to certain age.

3. Use a good simple cleanser for your skin. The Koreans follow the double cleaning method which is use oil cleanser first follow by the foam cleanser. Or you could use cleansing water which is also very popular for oily skin.  Treat your skin like a baby.

4. Then after lotion/toner, applied the essence or moisturizer.

5. Apply eye cream to reduce the stress around the eyes and prolong your youth.

6. Do pore cleansing mask and then sheet mask to reduce the flare up. Most Korean do “A sheet mask A day” and it does help but since I don’t have deep pockets, I can’t do that every day. Choose the mask for acne/sensitive/trouble/blemishes and ingredients such as green tea, honey and hydrating ones.
